Wick

Seacat Services are delighted to announce that we will be holding a recruitment day in Wick for local seafarers who are interested in working on our vessels operating on the Beatrice Offshore Wind farm.

The recruitment day will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2017 at the Wick Job Centre, Government Buildings, Grinigoe Street, Wick, KW1 4HJ

We will be holding a drop in session between 09:00 & 12:00 where you can come along for an informal chat, find out who we are, what we do and ask us any questions you may have.

We will be running a further session in the afternoon between 1300 & 16:00 where we will invite suitably qualified candidates to return for an interview.

The positions we will be recruiting for are outlined below. Please note that if you do not hold the essential qualifications for the role you are interested in then regrettably we will not be able to accept your application.

 


Master

As the Master of a Seacat vessel you will be responsible for the professional delivery of a safe, effective and high quality service to our clients. Working within the framework of our Integrated Management System (IMS), with the support of the shore-side team in head office, you will be the manager of all activity on board. 

For this role we require the following Certificate of Competence as a minimum:

  • STCW 11/2 Master 200

Along with:

  • STCW Basic Training
  • Valid ENG1 Medical
  • IMDG
  • Proficiency in Medical First Aid 
  • Generic ECDIS
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Slinger & Banksman  (we may be able to assist in gaining this)

All of the above qualifications are essential. In addition to these the following qualifications are desirable

  • GWO Working at heights - Desirable
  • Proficiency in Medical care - Desirable
  • Workboat Stability – Desirable

 


Mate

The Mate of a Seacat vessel assists the Master in the day-to-day running of the vessel ensuring that all shipboard operations are conducted within the company Integrated Management System (IMS).

For this role we require one of the following Certificates of Competence:

  • STCW 11/2 Master 200
  • STCW 11/1 OOW Unlimited
  • Yachtmaster Offshore with STCW 11/4 Navigational Watch Rating

Along with:

  • STCW Basic Training
  • Valid ENG1 Medical
  • Approved Engine Course (AEC) - Essential     
  • Generic ECDIS 
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Slinger & Banksman  (we may be able to assist in gaining this)

All of the above qualifications are essential. In addition to these the following qualifications are desirable

  • Generic ECDIS 
  • GWO Working at Height
  • IMDG
  • STCW Crowd Control

 


Deckhand

The Deckhand of a Seacat vessel assists the Master in the day-to-day running of the vessel ensuring that all shipboard operations are conducted within the company Integrated Management System (IMS).

For this role we require the following certification:

  • STCW Elementary First Aid
  • STCW Sea Survival
  • STCW Fire Fighting
  • STCW PSSR
  • Valid ENG1 Medical
  • ​​Approved Engine Course (AEC)
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Slinger & Banksman  (we may be able to assist in gaining this)

All of the above qualifications are essential. In addition to these the following qualifications are desirable

  • GWO Working at Height
  • Efficient Deckhand (EDH)
  • STCW 11/4 Navigational Watch rating
